Love Wine Red
I purchased my order of your Wine Red Henna on Amazon and thought I might post my experience here. My hair was once my greatest feature as a child and up until marriage. It was long, silky, and shiny, grew past my bottom, healthy and beautiful, and received many compliments. When the grays started setting in, I began to panic and spent years going to expensive salons or doing box dye to hide it. As you can imagine, my hair didn't take it well; it had been dry and damaged from years of color treatment. Sometimes, I wish I could embrace the gray as many other women. But that is just not me, and I desire that luscious dark red/brown shade that I have adored for years. My hair is naturally a medium brown with a hint of auburn. But there's a price to pay if you want to keep gorgeous colors in and gray out. My hair was reaching a tipping point where it could no longer take all the harsh chemicals. I was desperate and looking for a change and a way to get my hair healthy again. So, I spent years researching but needed help finding a solution. Then, out of the blue, I came across a site about Henna hair just about a month ago. It was the first time I had ever heard about it. Why is henna talked about less than box dyes? Why does it feel like a giant hair secret that only a few know about? Since discovering it recently, I have been doing all the research I can on henna. I was nervous but excited to try it for the first time, and I am so glad I did. Discovering henna is a lifesaver for me, and I never want to go back to harsh dyes for my hair. I genuinely believe this is the answer to getting my hair healthy again. Now in my mid-40s, I want to grow out my hair again and make it healthy again, but with no grays, please. Henna is amazing. It covered up my grays in an instant. I had my doubts in the beginning that it could. But wow, it was like magic, and no gray was in sight. The first time using henna, I used the Wine Red package from the Henna Guys. The color came out slightly too light for my tastes. However, it gradually darkened after a few days of having it in. My gray roots looked highlighted and too orange, so I returned to searching for henna to darken the color. I had heard about indigo before, so I wasn't surprised when reading how indigo darkens the henna. That was when I decided to research indigo and how to use it. I'm so thankful that I researched it, and someone mentioned taking "baby steps" with indigo when darkening to a particular shade. So, in the second round of using henna a couple of weeks after the first time, I included indigo in my recipe. Indigo brought it to the shade I most desired with the Wine Red color. It took out the orange tones and brought in more dark, rich brown with a hint of red wine. It is the perfect shade for me, thanks to henna. You have no idea how much this henna has made me happy since discovering it. It feels like a heavy burden that has been lifted off my shoulders. Yes, it is true that the smell of the henna while it sits in your hair for many hours is unpleasant and gives me terrible headaches. Yes, getting the formula in all strands of your hair is also quite messy and even worse for those with a thick, full head of hair, such as mine. My arms ache massively when I finally get all the henna in every part of my hair. But that means my arms don't get enough exercise, perhaps. But even with all the strong fumes and arm and headaches and messiness, it is still absolutely worth it, in my opinion. Because of henna, I feel like I can breathe again, have the healthy hair I once had, and keep my desired dark brown/red color for the rest of my life. I will forever be a henna girl. Since discovering it, my husband has been interested in using henna on his full beard, and I look forward to seeing how that turns out for him. I want to give you more details about how I made my henna recipe. I used a full package of Wine Red from Henna Guys since my hair is thick and full even though it's only slightly past my shoulders. I also included hibiscus and aloe vera powder with distilled water. Afterward, I added only 10% indigo to the mix. Please keep the Wine Red always in stock, Henna Guys! It is my absolute favorite!
❤️
I love it , been using it for years now , haven’t even looked for anything else !
Wonderful!!
I had half of the bag leftover from 4 years ago and I mixed it with other henna brands I had leftover that aren’t as pigmented or as awesome as The Henna Guys but it still came out pretty red! I always use raspberry tea instead of water so that my hair gets more red, and I put cinnamon and paprika in my mixture. Here’s a before and after!! The Henna Guys is truly my favorite brand! ❤️❤️❤️
Obsessed!
So originally I tried out the natural red color, but wanted to try something a little darker. I tried out the Wine Red, and fell in LOVE. I'm always getting compliments on the color and I can't explain it, it just looks sooo much better than box dye. My hair is so much healthier too. Forever thankful for this company !
Lovely color
Henna was so easy to apply. I applied Vaseline around my hairline on my forehead and there was no mess. I’ve had the same color in my hair for almost 2 months with very minimal fading. Beautiful, vibrant, long lasting color. It takes 4+hrs to set, I throw it on my head and go do chores around the farm while I wait.
AMAZING QUALITY
Wow!! I’ve used several different brands of henna before and this is by far my favorite!! At first the length of time for it to sit mixed and then sit on my hair intimidated me, but it was very very very well worth the wait. The results are fantastic!! Y’all done did good!!
The product never come
The product never come, i'm so sad :/
Nice red
I enjoyed using this a first step and found the red beautiful. Too bright for my tastes but that does not take away from its pretty colour.
Love wine red henna
Love this color on me. It is the color that I have been looking for. Thank you for the great customer support hat Henna Guys have provided.
Great color, great quality
I've used henna before but this was such a fine powder, it really made a difference when applying. It was so smooth, no little pieces of plant matter, so no little globs dropping off when applying. Also, the color was much more intense than other brands I've used in the past, maybe the other stuff wasn't as fresh! I've already ordered more for when this application fades. LOVE IT!
Good color
The color was very good. The henna seemed to be of good quality and it resulted in very a good quality.
Wine Red Henna
Looks radiant and beautiful on my hair.
Red wine so fine
Great experience with this henna hair dye ... It took my hair perfectly
My favorite
I've been using this Henna for a few years and the color is amazing.
Switch to henna if you want healthy hair.
I will never use any hair dye other than henna. My hair was damaged from other chemical dyes. Henna dye lasts longer, the color blends in well, and is a really pretty color. I love earthy smelling spices, trees, bushes and I like the smell of henna mixed with dark coffee. I'm very satisfied and no longer worry about nasty chemicals from other products I've used and going down the drain. Wine Red Henna is beautiful so I hope you don't discontinue this color please.
